Today is Patriot's Day (a/k/a Independence Day) as well as Feisty Aphrodite's one-year anniversary! We wanted to give you something both meaningful and especially specific to the celebration of America and what that means in a time of war, political turmoil and resistance. Nikki and I really want to thank everyone for their great support this past year as we have grown tremendously to reach people all over the world through news podcasts, videos, art and outreach-none of which would have been possible without you spreading the word while encouraging us to take things to a new level. We have many more tricks up our sleeve for this next year and can't wait to see what it will bring! This video is of the April 16, 2007 broadcast of Democracy Now! in which Amy Goodman hosts a rare joint interview with two of the country's leading dissidents and intellectuals: Noam Chomsky and Howard Zinn. Please note that the first 10-15 minutes are the day's headlines as this is a regular broadcast of their news magazine, but the rest of the hour is dedicated to this amazing talk.
